I am royally pissed off about the new mature content filter bullshit. So, I wrote this to the helpdesk people....it won't change anything at all, so I also got a new account just to view the mature deviations. Smart, eh? Fuck DA staff. I hate them and their new opression.



Question: Why must we now be eighteen to view deviations marked mature? It seems a bit too controlled to me. Should we, as artists, not be allowed to use our own discretion to decide whether we want to open-minded about all forms of art or not?
How can one possibly censor art? It's an insult to do so. An insult not only to the artist, but to the viewer. I'm sixteen, and this horrid new lockdown on mature content prevents me from viewing many of my OWN drawings and poetry. It's purely disgusting, and my suggestion is that it be changed back to the way it was before: where it was every individual's choice to see art in all its forms. Think about it: age is not always a factor in determining maturity, most often not in the artistic community.

Please, treat us like the adults we are.
